Violence against women and girls is one of the most widespread violations of human rights. Attacks against women happen across all boundaries of age, race, and culture. Anyone can be targeted, anywhere at any time! You don’t have to be a criminal’s next target – minimize your risk with the right training.
In the AWSDA class, you will learn the mindset of a predator, red flag behaviors, situational awareness, survivor mindset, assertiveness skills, and physical self-defense techniques.
This two-hour practice class is open to women ages 14 and up (14-17 must be accompanied by a legal guardian). Online registration closes 3 days prior to class, but walk-ins are always welcome.
Those who have taken our Self-Defense Introductory Class are encouraged to join us to practice further with people from all levels of self-defense to sharpen your skills and be ready for any situation. This is an evolving class, so you’ll want to attend as often as your schedule allows. The more often you attend, the more you’ll learn and the stronger your skill set will be!!
AWSDA is an educational, non-profit organization dedicated to ending violence against women by providing training programs to self-defense instructors, as well as services for women to increase their knowledge of self-defense techniques and rape prevention.
